Kenosha, WI (WLIP)–Kenosha’s fall curbside yard waste collection program starts next Monday, and runs through the end of November.

Residents must use city-approved biodegradable bags for curbside collection, with Bag To Nature, BioBag, and Ecoguard brands being accepted, and waste must be set out between 6:30 p.m. the night before and 6 a.m. on collection day.

The City of Kenosha encourages composting by turning collected yard waste into high-grade compost, which is offered free to residents when available.

To support the use of biodegradable bags, the city is offering a $2 discount coupon for each box of approved bags, available at city offices and the official Kenosha website, valid at local retailers with a four-coupon limit per visit.
