Kenosha’s Alternate Side Parking Regulations Return Dec. 1
KENOSHA, Wis. (WLIP)— The City of Kenosha will enforce alternate side parking regulations starting early Sunday morning to improve winter street maintenance and emergency vehicle access.
The parking regulation is in effect between one and six am.
Public Works Director Brian Cater said the restrictions will help city operators clear driving lanes more effectively.
Narrow city streets pose significant challenges for snow removal equipment, with plows ranging from 10 to 12 feet wide.
City officials noted that the alternate side parking method ensures emergency service vehicles can also navigate streets during winter months.
Residents should be prepared to move their vehicles either the odd or even side of the street depending on the date to avoid potential tickets.
The regulations will remain in effect until March 31.
