Kenosha, WI (WLIP)–Mayor David F. Bogdala has appointed Kirk Redmon as the new City Assessor for Kenosha, effective September 23, 2024.

Redmon, who has over 15 years of assessing experience, has held leadership roles in both the City of Milwaukee and Cook County Assessor’s Offices.

In his career, Redmon began working for the City of Milwaukee Assessor’s Office in 2008 and was promoted to Assessment Division Manager in 2018.

Since 2022, he has served as the Manager of Commercial Valuations for the Cook County Assessor’s Office.

Redmon holds Assessor 2 and Assessor 3 certifications from the Wisconsin Department of Revenue and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Lewis University.

Mayor Bogdala endorsed Redmon’s appointment, expressing confidence in his qualifications and leadership skills.

The Kenosha Common Council confirmed Redmond’s appointment in a unanimous vote.
