KENOSHA, Wis. (WLIP) — Kenosha County Public Health is expanding access to critical harm reduction resources by installing free vending machines stocked with overdose prevention and health supplies at multiple community locations, Health Officer Lori Plahmer announced Monday.

The newest machine, installed outside the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program office at 2000 63rd St. in Uptown Kenosha, joins existing machines at the Kenosha County Job Center and the Sharing Center in Trevor.

The machines provide free Narcan, fentanyl test strips, and other public health supplies.

While the WIC office and Sharing Center machines are accessible 24/7 outdoors, the Job Center machine is available indoors from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

An additional machine operated by the HOPE Council on Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse is available around the clock outside its headquarters at 6103 39th Ave. in Kenosha.
