MADISON, Wis. (WLIP) — Roundy’s Supermarkets, Inc. will pay more than one million dollars in civil forfeitures after state inspectors allegedly found widespread package weight and labeling violations across 81 of its Wisconsin stores.

The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection revealed that inspections conducted in December 2023 and January 2024 uncovered 1,202 products with inaccurate net weight listings and 90 instances of improper product labeling.

Inspectors allege that they found store-packaged products across locations in multiple cities, including Kenosha, were systematically overpriced.

Affected products spanned multiple categories.

While the company does not admit to violations, it has committed to implementing corrective measures.
